Innovacion plan long term business growth in Northamptonshire

Innovacion have recently been commissioned by Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership to produce a five year County Prosperity Plan to provide a longer term business focussed growth agenda. Northamptonshire has always been a location with an ambition and appetite for growth. In 2005 it was envisaged that the County could accommodate 100,000 new households and 81,000 net new jobs between 2001 and 2021. The economy has been highlighted as having the potential to grow from its current £15 billion size to reach £20 billion by 2021.

Drawing from the recently published Northamptonshire Arc and earlier SNEAP transformational activities, the plan will provide a more strategic economic vision and plan for returning Northamptonshire to its above average growth trajectory and maximising the County's contribution to national growth.  The plan will draw together the short, medium and longer term initiatives being brought forward by the strong public, private and voluntary sector partnerships working together across the County as well as providing the context for NEP's new two year Business Plan to 2013/14 which Innovacion also produced.

Innovacion to examine supply chain finance issues for automotive sector for SMMT

Following on from our initial Gearing Up Report, Innovacion and The Smith Institiute have been commissioned to complete a detailed investigation of finance issues affecting the automotive supply chain for the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).  Reporting by May 2012 the study will investigate: how well the current supply chain finance products fit with the needs of the vehicle manufacturers (VMs) Tier One suppliers and other suppliers; are there particular issues for firms looing to finance tooling costs; and are other financial products needed in addition to recent Government initiatives and the current product offers from the bank and non-bank sector. 

Innovacion appointed to assist Northamptonshire LEP with business planning

Atkins and Innovavion have been appointed to provide business planning support to Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership (NEP).  Using a strategic business planning process and by facilitating a Board Business Planning Day we will help NEP to develop their visions, plans and future directions for the next two years.

Business Growth Fund offers opportunities to grow automotive supply chain

Increased availability and access to finance will boost investment across the UK’s automotive supply chain, helping it to remain competitive – these were the findings presented by leading industry figures at a Business Growth Fund seminar, hosted yesterday by the SMMT.

Outlining the challenges facing the supply chain and finance sectors, leading industry figures, including Andrew Rumfitt, Director, Innovacion, Stephen Pegge, SME Markets Director, Lloyds TSB and Mark Byrant, Director of the recently launched Business Growth Fund, presented an overview of the UK’s financial landscape and the opportunities for growth through improved financial availability for UK businesses.
